Challenge
Amidst significant competition, McKesson’s home health program continues to grow since the 1980’s. However, the market prognosis for McKesson, the customer to be served and the service needs for the future were unclear. McKesson was applying the Six Sigma process to the home health care business segment. They wanted to comprehensively evaluate the potential in serving Rx customers with DME. They also wanted to determine the customer needs for McKesson’s overall home health care effort.
